    Weather in South Africa

South Africa’s hottest and busiest time is during the UK winter months of November to March.  This is also the busiest period for tourists and locals.  For a cooler temperature and less busy period, the UK summer months of July and August are a excellent time to go.  When I visited South Africa in July and August the weather was mainly sunny and warm but not too hot so this was the greatest time for me to travel.  It was perfect for all activities.  It was nice and quiet at this time too, and this is the cheapest time to go to South Africa.  I made sure I read a lot of South Africa Travel Ideas before I travelled to ensure I travelled at the greatest time for me, which was July and August as I prefer the milder temperatures.

Though Scott and several other members of the initial mission died of diseases they contracted in Africa, The church flourished. But the difficulties it now faces go beyond disease.

“There’s growing danger,” said Ted of AIM’s U.S. operation, which is run out of tiny complex on Crooked Hill Road in Pearl River. “Two of our missionaries in Uganda last year were suddenly murdered, so they paid the ultimate cost.”  Warren and Donna initially farmers from United Kingdom had worked with AIM since 1996. The Petts and Isaac Jurugo, a Ugandan undergraduate, had been fatally shot in March 2004 by robbers who raided the Christian agricultural training center where the Petts worked.  Other people too have been injured over the years, and a number of died in Congo in 1964. The risk of harm particularly in countries with unstable political regimes must be faced, Barnett said, and sensitizing missionaries to the danger the key aspects of the training conducted by AIM’s U.S. offices.
